SnapState ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the SnapState macOS application and visit our website at getsnapstate.com.
2. Local Data Processing & Privacy
SnapState is designed with strict local privacy in mind. All your window layouts, workspace coordinates, display configurations, and browser tab references are processed and stored exclusively on your Mac using standard local storage (UserDefaults / Application Support). We do not collect, transmit, or store your open window titles, URLs, or desktop layout data on remote servers.
3. Payment & Licensing Information
Payments and license key issuance are processed securely by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy (or Stripe). When you purchase SnapState, Lemon Squeezy collects your payment details and email address to process the order and email your license key. We do not receive or store your raw payment card numbers.
4. License Validation
When you activate SnapState inside the macOS application, your license key is verified via an encrypted HTTPS request to Lemon Squeezy's license API. No personal files, screen contents, or desktop metadata are transmitted during this request.
5. Anonymous Usage Analytics
SnapState for macOS sends anonymous usage signals (app launches, capture/restore counts, app version) via TelemetryDeck. No workspace names, window positions, browser URLs, or personally identifiable data are transmitted. User identifiers are hashed by TelemetryDeck before storage. You can opt out in future app updates. Website traffic is measured via Vercel Web Analytics, which respects Do Not Track and does not use cross-site cookies.
