Are Raycast Window Layouts free?
Raycast describes Window Layouts as a Raycast Pro feature, which is a subscription.
Alternative
Short answer: Keep Raycast as your launcher. Use SnapState to snapshot every window, Space, display and browser tab you have open right now and put it all back in one click or automatically after sleep or a monitor change. $9.99 one-time for up to three Macs.
According to the Raycast manual, Window Layouts (a Raycast Pro feature) let you pick apps, set each window's size and position on one or more displays, optionally open a URL, file or Quicklink in each app, and trigger the layout from Raycast or a hotkey. It is a good fit for a fixed project setup you design once.
A Window Layout is a template you build, not a snapshot of your current state. It opens one link or file per entry rather than all the tabs you had, it places windows on displays rather than restoring which Space each app lived on, and it runs when you call it rather than when your Mac wakes or a monitor reconnects. It also needs a Raycast Pro subscription.
SnapState is a native macOS menu bar app that saves named workspaces from what is on screen. Each one keeps the windows on every Space with position and size, the apps needed to relaunch them, the display layout, full screen windows, and all open tabs in Safari, Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc and Chromium once Automation permission is granted. Restore from the menu bar, with Control-Command-1 to 6, or automatically on wake from sleep, when a monitor connects or disconnects, or when a matching display layout appears.
Raycast and SnapState run fine together: launch and snap with Raycast, save the arrangement as a SnapState workspace, and let SnapState bring it back. See also Rectangle, Magnet and Raycast vs SnapState and restoring a multi-monitor layout with one shortcut.
SnapState does not tile or snap windows, it cannot split one app's windows across several Spaces, Firefox is not supported yet, tab groups are not restored, and it requires macOS 15.7 or later. There is no free trial.
